Well planning and preparations for lifting the shell are well underway. I had two great helpers this weekend and we were able to complete the structure to support the shell while it is lifted. We are confident it will hold, but we are praying for no or very little wind next weekend. We plan to lift it Thursday or Friday and have it back down on Monday.
All the rivets that connect the shell to the C Channel have been removed and have Cleco's in place. Marylin looks a little like a porcupine!
I have a template completed for the front and rear end pieces that I believe to be very accurate (after 48 try's), but I will wait until the shell is off and I can make certain it is accurate before we make any cuts.
The same guys will be helping me next weekend that helped me this weekend, so Im hopeful we can stay on schedule with their help. I still have a few things that need to be done before the lift. But its sooo close.
Ill update next week.
