Stepping on up

I received the bolt to fix the steps and was able to get them installed. I still need to get the spring that holds up the piece that locks them in the stowed position. But they are installed and functioning.

After a few days of repeatedly adding stripper and scraping I was able to get all the old anti-skid and glue off.

I also finally got the wheel wells in after months of waiting. I had to cancel the original order and order from another company. Thank you to Out of Doors Mart, they are awesome!

Unfortunately they didnt fit to the old tracks so some modifications had to take place.

The wheel wells themselves also had to be trimmed to size.

Once they were trimmed the trim that holds them in had to be persuaded to go back in place with a torch and a hammer. But we got them back in shape and they are both installed. I still need to seal them and install the outer trim.

I also ordered the weather stripping for the window that fell out early in this project. I figured I might as well replace it while the window was out. Once that was we were able to get the window installed in time for Monsoon season.

I dont expect to get a ton done over the next few months as its very, very hot out. But I will continue to post the progress that I do make.

Have a great day.
