Well its been a bit so I thought I would give another update. I have completed about 95% of the frame work and painting. I just have a few spots that are hard to reach and will most likely have to wait for the shell to come off.
I have both the grey and black tank back in place and the plumbing is dry fitted. I did not go with the exact way it was due to the fact that Airstream parts that do the same thing are very hard to find and expensive. I have Styrofoam insulation under both tanks as well as the original pans.
All the wood for the flooring has been purchased and is at the house. I have ordered the power distribution center / convertor and the outlet for the land electric. I did quite a bit of research on insulation and I can say if I never see fiberglass insulation again in my life it would be soon enough. I looked at real wool but I could not find a rating. So this is what I decided on. Im super excited that its not fiberglass!!!!
This the tool that is used for cutting sheet metal / aluminum. Nibbler.. aint that cute!
Next I am going to work on getting the fresh tank back up, finalize the underfloor plumbing, waterproof all the wood, and start on a working floor template.
Things are moving forward!
